Corporate Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management
Large companies, especially in the manufacturing sector are increasingly under scrutiny from regulators and customers who want to ensure that the goods they are buying are not the product of a company that has poor compliance with Environmental, Social and Governance standards (ESG)
As manufacturing moves increasingly to less developed countries in the Far East and elsewhere to save costs, the standard of treatment of workers in the supply-chain is coming under closer scrutiny from consumers in the developed world, who want to ensure that their product of choice is manufactured ethically.
Sadly, in many instances, workers are exploited, treated harshly, subjected to long working hours with low pay and in some cases are victims of Human Trafficking and subject to debt bondage. Companies who manufacture their products in these factories are increasingly liable for compensation claims, regulators action and customer disenfranchisement
Mentoring, Education and Capacity Building
Annam Consulting Limited offers mentoring, education and capacity building to Senior Managers of factories wishing to comply with ESG standards. Using a multi-disciplinary approach and under the direction of our International Development Director, Annam Consulting Limited works with factories across the Asia Pacific region in liaison with specialist NGOs based in the USA and Europe.
